User Answers:

  1. B1 supplements are almost always of the synthetic type called "Thiamin Mononitrate" and should be considered unsafe and dangerous at ANY LEVEL OF CONSUMPTION. According to Dr. Mary Newport M.D. Research Site, Thiamin Mononitrate is quite likely the cause of numerous disorders.

Supplement suppliers use synthetics in replacement of actual vitamins often. When B1 or Thiamin is found in whole raw foods it is safe and it cannot be overdosed.  [edit]
